During my time in Minneapolis (2005-2008), I was DJing a lot and working hard to get a narrative flow into my mixes, something that—as I conceived of it—would take the listener from one style to the next, ultimately arriving somewhere unexpected. This was one of the more successful experiments in this style of programming.
This mix, which features tracks from Trio Electrico, BB Boogie, Glenn Underground, Jazzanova, Hird, Laid, Suba, Makossa & Megablast, and Rhythm and Sound was originally featured on the DJs Anonymous webpage, which was a wonderful spot while it lasted. For those who never had the chance to visit, it was a boundary-breaking mix series that just let each contributor do his or her thing. |
