February is carnival time, and it's been cold enough even here in Seville to have me and everyone I know thinking of taking a trip to the southern hemisphere. The next best thing, of course, is the warm sound of Brazilian music. On this follow-up to the original Brazilian Wax, I've included some of the best and rarest Brazilian records of the seventies and eighties in this mix, plus a couple of well-known classics and a 00s song by Arthur Verocai.
The majority of the music in this set is very rare, unknown, and hasn't appeared on compilations. As I have spent a lot of time and, in many cases, money tracking down these records, I'm not willing to give up a full tracklist just yet--at least not until all my record-junkie friends secure their copies.
